I really cannot say enough about my experience here. Recently celebrated my 60th birthday with 50 members of my family. From our first meeting it was clear to me nothing was too much trouble. The staff on the day were without exception absolutely amazing. All of my family commented how pleased they were. The dining room we had was lovely, our rooms we stayed in were immaculately clean and very comfortable. I can’t comment on the spa but some of our party used it and they loved it. Definitely going back.

Had a lovely 1 night break away here in the Ashby suite. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Had the indulgence spa package came out feeling amazing. Lake restaurant again excellent service and food. Would highly recommend.

Went to a 60th celebration with drinks and canapés. Used the pool, steam room and sauna and slept in a rather small bed. Some aspects rather dated but lots of history. Lovely cosy lounge with a fire and a good selection of single malts at the bar nearby. Good breakfast in the morning. Could use the spa for the rest of the day after checkout.

Absolutely fabulous this is our second time coming to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The rooms are clean, comfortable & well equipped with everything you need. Staff are very friendly and very helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable and relaxing. The spa is amazing and the food is superb overall a fantastic weekend . Mrs Mott

I stay here for work, staff are so lovely and helpful. It's got a perdioc charm and lovely creaking floors throughout with a nice bar, restaurant and gym. Rooms are great, TVs well placed and lots of room even in their smaller rooms. Looking forward to me next visit already

Very disappointing Christmas afternoon tea. When I booked I asked that no spread be put on the sandwiches, and this was acknowledged. However when we were presented with the tea all had spread on. We then had to wait 20- 30 minutes for the sandwiches to be re-made. Also: 1. The first pot of coffee was luke warm 2. The brownie was "claggy" and inedible and the rest of the sweets were not very nice On the plus side, the staff were apologetic and we were given complimentary fizz. We will not be returning.

Fantastic hotel, second time visiting. Here for a wedding and the venue, staff & food were amazing. I even left my suit jacket & shoes behind, they kindly packaged these items up and sent them back to me. Brilliant

Great Christmas party venue, amazing food and one of the best tasting turkey dishes ever. After dinner disco and roulette kept us occupied, hope to return soon..
